On August 22th, Professor Ning Wang from Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Oklahoma State University, invited by director from Intelligent Information System Research Center researcher Miao Li, made an academic report entitled "Intelligent Sensing System Agriculture, Livestock and Food production" in the innovation forum.

Dr. Ning Wang focuses on researches in precision agriculture, intelligent sensors, intelligent control technology in agriculture and other fields, and achieves many accomplishments in mechatronics, electronic sensor technology and so on. She has chaired or participated in research into about 20 projects, which are funded by the U.S. and Canadian government departments and other relevant Chinese ministries, and published about 30 high-quality papers in core journals. Meanwhile, Dr. Wang Ning makes Ontario, Canada senior professional engineer (PE) certification in 2005, works in many professional academic organizations (ASABE, SPIE, CSAE, AOC, etc.), and undertakes a number of assessments of academic and apply for project funding.

Prof. Ning Wang's report, “Intelligent Sensing systems for Agricultural, Livestock and Food production”, described precision agriculture, wireless sensor networks and wireless signal routing and listed the plant monitoring, behavioral surveillance, turf management and others, which systematically and vividly showed research results at this stage. At the meeting, other researchers made sub-reports. A report "Based on Aqueous CdTe Quantum Dots Fluorescence Detection of Cu2+ Portable Sensor System" is given by associate researcher Xinhua Zeng. Dr. Guijian Guan made a report titled "Functional Nanomaterials Ultra-sensitive Detection for Pesticide Residues in Agricultural Products". Dr. Ling Zhu from Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics made a report on "Microfluidic-based Nucleic Acid Fast Real-time PCR Analysis Research". Dr. Jun Jiao from Anhui Agricultural University introduced "Crop Monitoring Sensors and Fuzzy Control". More than 40 researchers and graduate attended the report, which was conducted in a lively atmosphere.
