Prof. XU Yuxi from Fudan University was invited to visit Institute of Intelligent Machines, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences on Apr 15th. Prof. XU gave a lecture titled “Functionalization Self-Assemble and Explored elec-trochemical energy storage applications of Graphene”.

Prof. XU firstly introduced his work of prepared functional molecules in grapheme, and then described two dimensional graphene self-assembly process in three dimensional space. At last, Prof. XU detailedly introduced three-dimensional graphene macro-scopic materials in electrochemical energy storage applications of the research content. Many students and professors joined the discussion about the polymer content of graphene loading, the condition for three-dimensional graphene etching and the commercial application value of graphene in organic electrolyte.

Prof. XU is a researcher and PhD tutor in the department of polymer science at Fud-an University. His research focuses on preparation and controlled self-assembly methods of conjugated polymers and graphene nanometer materials and its application in energy, environmental and biomedical. He has published more than 30 papers on Nature Communications, Accounts of Chemical Research, J.Am.Chem.Soc and Angew.Chem.Int.Ed.
