On the morning of Friday， April 21st, Hefei New Town Primary School started the first Campus Science and Technology Festival Activities of theme "I do, I think, I experience, I am happy". Dr. Wang Hui, associate professor, working as core member of "Dandelion Scientific Dissemination Volunteer Corps" of Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASHIPS) and Dr. Dong Xiang, associate professor, the Secretary of Youth Corps Committee of  the Institute of Intelligent Machines (IIM), CASHIPS were invited to attend the opening ceremony .

Wang Hui made a lecture themed with “the origin, the development and the future of robots” on popular science knowledge for more than 500 students, and she carried out live demonstration to show how to operate her three carry-on robot toys as well.  The children were full of beans as soon as they caught sight of the robots. They surrounded the exhibits and squabbled for a turn maneuvering each robot, which greatly stimulated their interest in science.

By entering the campus classroom, this kind of popular scientific activity aimed to inspire the students to love science, enrich their scientific knowledge, cultivate their scientific innovation spirits and practical abilities, and finally promote their comprehensive development.
