The Research Center of Intelligent Information Systems is mainly engaged in the theory and applied research of intelligent algorithm, multi-agent complex adaptive systems, expert systems and decision support systems, etc. The earliest study of the agricultural information technology in China is carried out in our research center. Since the first agricultural expert system was developed in China in 1983, the research center has gained significant achievements and won many important awards, including the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. The center has approached the international advanced level in the field of intelligent computing and pattern recognition. In recent years, the Center has aimed at major national strategic needs and we have carried out innovative research focusing on modern agriculture intelligent information technology, disaster warning and mitigation decision-making systems, undertaken a large number of national and local scientific research tasks, and achieved remarkable social and economic benefits.
