Brief Introduction
The Research Center for Biomimetic Functional Materials and Sensing Devices is one of the main academic units of the Institute of Intelligent Machines (IIM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). There are 32 staffers at present, including 5 researchers, 12 associate researchers and 7 assistant researchers, and over 50 graduate students with different backgrounds, including chemistry, physics, biology, electrics, information, etc. Especially, one of them has been supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and three have been selected as the person of “100 Talent Project” of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Aimed at the requirement of the environmental detection and the public security and public health, their research contents have been focusing on the design, preparation and application of biomimetic functional materials, design and fabrication of the sensing nano-devices and detecting equipments for detecting trace amount of pesticides residues, explosives, drugs and drug precursors, the persistent organic pollutants in environment, as well as the micropollutants in water.
The center has undertaken many of national projects such as National Natural Science Funds, National “863” Projects and National “973” Projects. Related research productions have beenpublished on over 190 SCI-indexed papers in the famous academic journals such as Nature Nanotech.; J. Am. Chem. Soc.; Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.; Adv. Mater.; Chem. Commun.; Small; Anal. Chem.; Langmuir; Electrochem. Commun. and J. Phys. Chem. B/C, etc. Besides, over 13 patents have been authorized and 25 patent applications have been accepted by the State Intellectual Property Office of P.R. China.
Research Interests:
(1) Design, preparation and application of molecularly imprinted nanostructural artificial antibodies;
(2) Design and fabrication of the sensing nano-devices and detecting equipments for environmental security, public security or public health;
(3) Physicochemical process of the interactions between nanostructures/nanomaterials and electrochemical active matters, and its effect on the electrochemical behaviors;
